Tires

Yes, this post really is about tires!

My car has been acting horrible for about 2 months.  Being the wonderful car owner that I am I beg my father-in-law to take a look at it, because I know nothing about cars and he knows everything about cars.  Ray tells me that I need new tires because mine have giant goose egg bumps popping out all over them!

To go along with this story I will tell you a side story.  We were playing at basketball the other day with Kaci and Nate.  (I say playing "at" because we are pretty much the worst ball players ever!)  Nate's basketball is very old and it had this giant growth coming from it.  But, we played anyway.  About thrity minutes into our game someone bounced the ball and it landed just right on the goose egg and POW!  The ball burst and our game is over.

Well, when I realized my tires had goose egg bumps all I could invision is POW!  My tire burst and I die.  So today my wonderful husband took my car to my wonderful father-in-law who was going to put tires on my car.

I called to check on my guys and found out that the tires that were ordered where not the correct size.  So, they had some new, larger tires, shipped to the shop.  Then I got another phone call from the husband that said the new tires weren't the right size either.  So, at 4:36 they were putting another set of tires onto poor Ellie, who has been up on a rack all day with no tires!

Poor Tim and poor ray!  I'm sorry Ellie has werid sized feet and requires strange sized tires!!!  I really do feel horrible! *sigh*

A Day Out and About

Today was a super busy day! Today began with church, a typical Sunday morning. We've starting going to Vineyard Community Church in Lexington and we love it! We are actually planning to join the church very soon! Very exciting for us! So, we started today off with an awesome worship experience at Vineyard.

From there we headed to the mall where we had Subway, thanks to my wonderful parents who gave us cards for Easter! Love you! Then we picked up some curtains I had ordered from JCPenney. So far, so good. Now, this is where it gets fun!

Tim plays with the Lexington Brass Band and today was their spring concert. So, after I dropped Tim off for rehearsal I met up with one of my great friends from college, Tiffany. Tiffany and I had a wonderful day running around Lexington before returning to hear the Lexington Brass Band give an awesome concert. You'd think our day was over, but before heading home Tiffany, her hubbie, Eric, Tim, and myself had a wonderful dinner together!

Although I am dead dog tired it was a perfect way to end spring break! And, I read on one of my fellow Jennie Rogers facebook pages that we only have 33 school days left until Summer Break. So, I'm very excited!

Starting Point

Well, this is our starting point!

I would love to tell you that this will be the most interesting blog you'll ever read, but it won't be. What this blog will be is a place where I can write about the crazy life we have. This is mostly for myself, but I'm sure some family and friends will find it interesting.

Now, I must also tell you that I have horrible gramatical skills. I put commas in the wrong places and I always have a million typos. So, don't judge! This is not a professional blog. Just know that for anything professional I have many editors who help me out! (A big shout out to Tim Wix, Heather Mays, Erin Peters and Chris Peters!!)

With that said allow me to share a story from today.

I'm on spring break this week. Now, when I'm on spring break I love to be lazy, but what I love more than being lazy is to mark items off my to do list. Today's to do's included cleaning our apartment. So, I did just that. I cleaned every nook and crany in this place, and when I finished I was proud!

Tim subbed today, had percussion lessons, and after a short 45 minutes home for dinner, went to class. When he finally came home from class at 9:15 he was dead dog tired. He went into the bathroom and through the closed door I hear, "She missed." With those words my eyes began to tear up because I knew this meant my cat had missed the litter box.

You should also know that my cat, Ginger, is a 15 year old tabby cat that I've had since the day she was born.

Up to this point in my life I have found nothing harder to clean up than cat pee.

So, what does my husband do...he recognized that the apartment is spotless and says, "Go sit down, put your feet up, and watch your show."

At this point I must tell you that I have married the most amazing man on the planet. He can always tell when I'm at my breaking point and he does things like this. Then, sometimes he just does things like this for no reason at all, which is why I snagged him up and married him!

So, Tim proceeds to clean up MY cat's mess!

Lucky for Ginger her daddy loves her and is allowing her to sleep indoors tonight!

And thus begins the journey of our blog!
